My Story

My Story - What God is Doing in My Life Through 40 Days of Purpose
One important aspect of 40 Days of Purpose is seeing how God is working in individual lives, small groups, and the whole congregation. As we move along these 40 Days, be looking for these "God moments" and take a minute to write them down. Use the form "40 Days of Purpose: My Story" to keep track of how God is speaking to you in answering the question "What on earth am I here for?" Take notice of how God is using your time of worship, daily readings, scripture memory verses, ministry participation, fellowship with other Christians, or discipleship as he molds you to be more Christ-like, to minister within the body of Christ, and to evangelism in the world, and then share it with us.

You can get blank forms at the Welcome Center or use the file copies available for download below. Then send your by email to dwolfe AT charm.net or drop it in the office mail slot entitled: 40 Days of Purpose: My Story/Bev Wolfe.

• MyStory.pdf - or print this and drop it off in the offering plate or in the office.

There is no doubt that God will use this time of commitment, time in the Word, and time in prayer, both alone and corporately, to do amazing things. We need to keep our eyes, ears and hearts open to listen to God's prompting and then write down what He tells us. Let us hear your story!

Some of the stories will be read during services, other may be posted here. If you do NOT want yours read or posted, or if you want your name kept private, please note that.

Here are a few early comments about how God is working through 40 Days of Purpose:

"Thank you so much for starting the 40 Days of Purpose. It is so fantastic... I feel like I am just finally getting to know Jesus at age 34."

"Praise God for the way He's drawn me to Himself since 40 Days began. Please pray that He will continue teaching me."

"Praise God that my nephew is sitting with me today in church and is engaged in a small group with '40 Days'. This is an answer to prayer."

Here are some other 40 Days blessings in our midst:

• 550 adults and 90 students are participating in 40 Days small groups.
• A number of Centralites have been thrilled to have family members join small groups and attend 40 Days services with them for the first time.
• One person prayed to receive Christ at their first small group meeting.
• Three generations of one family have formed a small group and are studying 40 Days of Purpose together.
• A child who attended Central without his parents went home from Sunday School and asked his mother "What is my purpose?." The mother asked for a copy of The Purpose Driven Life to help her answer this important question!
• In response to watching their husbands study The Purpose Driven Life in a small group, several women have decided to each invite a neighbor to begin a women's study group.
