Adult Christian Education

Adult Education at Central is not "Sunday School" in the traditional sense of the term. At Central, Adult Education provides communities where believers can meet and study God's word in a caring, loving and supportive environment. Adult Education classes are offered on Sunday mornings concurrent with each of the worship services.

  • Sunday Morning Classes
We have many Sunday morning classes to offer; designed to broaden our understanding and application of the Christian life. These classes have differing emphases to meet the broad needs of the congregation. The offerings change every 2 months.
  • Wednesday Evening Classes
On Wednesday evenings during Lent we offer some additional classes as well as our weekly Prayer Meeting.
  • Membership Exploration Class
While this class is primarily designed to as a new member class, it is open to seekers after Christ and "old-time" members of Central who would like to discover their spiritual gifts, encourage newcomers to Central, and who would like to re-tool their lives for ministry. This series is offered at different times throughout the year.

Special classes and seminars are offered throughout the year and address specific areas of interest to the Church and community, such as finances and other special classes. One special annual event is the Christian Growth Series. It focuses on integrating Christianity into daily life.

The topics for classes range from Bible study and practical theology to issues of marriage and family relationships, and from christian social justice to sharing god's love around the world. The teaching style and class format also vary according to the class. Whoever you are, there are bound to be a number of opportunities you will not want to miss. See Charles Bailey.
