As the AIDS pandemic spreads, why should the Church be involved? In a 6 session conference, we'll explore challenges involved and how Central church can become engaged in solutions.

9/24 Focus: WHY SHOULD THE CHURCH CARE?
Session 1 ~ WORSHIP: 8:15am, 10:00am or 11:30am
Session 2 ~ SEMINAR: 10:00am and 11:30am
Session 3 ~ SEMINAR: 6:15 - 8:00 pm
10/1 Focus: HOW CAN THE CHURCH CARE?
Session 4 ~ WORSHIP: 8:15 am, 10:00am or 11:30am
Session 5 ~ SEMINAR: 10:00am and 11:30am
Session 6 ~ PANEL DISCUSSION: 6:15 - 8:00pm

Youth Track: Choice of worship time and seminars at 10:00am and 6:15pm each of the Sundays.

10/8 Focus: WHERE CAN THE CHURCH CARE?
3 Training Sessions: 8:15 - 9:30 am; all 3 repeated from 1:00 - 2:30pm led by staff from 3 agencies that minister to those suffering with AIDS in Baltimore: AIRS, JACQUES INITIATIVE and MOVEABLE FEAST. The session you select will prepare you to serve with that specific mission outreach.

Derek Spencer, Institute of Human Virology at University of Maryland; Director of JACQUES Initiative; HIV/AIDS educator to medical peers and lay public

Cricket Barrazotto, Regional Director of International Bible Society; advocate for Reach4Life (R4L) AIDS prevention program

Wendy Dean, Youth Director at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Arvada, Colorado; leads humanitarian trips around the world

October 1st

Dr. Perry Jansen, Director of Partners in Hope HIV/AIDS Clinic in Malawi with outreach programs that combine preventive, clinical and in-home care and clinical research

John Hamilton, Assistant Provost at UCLA, CA; co-founder of Partners in Malawi, a support organization for Dr. Jansen's ministry in Lilongwe, Malawi

Kent Crawford, Sr. pastor at Westside Fellowship Church, Santa Monica, CA; co-founder and board member of Partners in Malawi
