Defining Masculinity

Gentlemen, there is a growing body of research that suggests that the lifestyles of evangelical males is indistinguishable from the average non-churched or non-believing individual. The divorce rate keeps pace with the secular community. Abuse and family violence have escalated, as well as drug and alcohol abuse. Given these concerns, one must ask the question why is such a decline on the increase, even though so many claim some level of relationship with Christ. Why does it appear that our faith seems to lack the evidence of change, especially among men?

"Men of Promise" is launching an adult education program. The education program will begin next Sunday, March 13th, at 10:00 am and 11:30 am, with an introduction to defining masculinity in our church and secular culture today. It will also attempt to address the many problems facing the Christian male.

The program will continue on Monday evenings starting April 4th with teaching on sexual purity.

On April 30th, the men of Central will have an opportunity to come together for a day-long retreat. We will have the opportunity to challenge ourselves and confront our fears together as we encounter the high and low ropes course at Black Rock Retreat Center.

This is our opportunity to create change within our world. We encourage the men of Central to step forward and use their voice to create real and lasting change. Come join us.
