Expect Amazing Things In Chancel Choir

Last week, Pastor John spoke to us about the amazing things that God does for us and around us if we will only open ourselves to that possibility and take a step in God's direction. Well, here's a step you can take into a world where amazing things very often happen.

On Thursday, February 1st, from 7:30-9:30 pm, the Chancel Choir will be holding an Open House to introduce new singers to the choir and give people a taste of what it is like to be part of that group. For those who listened to the recent Christmas concerts, you already know what amazing events they were, not only for the performers but for the many members of the congregation who were themselves moved by the experience and moved forward in their spiritual lives, sometimes from ground zero into real forward movement toward Christ.

Taking a look at singing with the Chancel Choir is a step you can take toward allowing God to move even more freely in your life. Even if this is just a "let's try it out" event for you, it will be well worth your time. This year, we will be offering people the chance to sing for Holy Week (Maundy Thursday, Palm Sunday, and Easter) without necessarily a commitment to all Sundays between then and now. We will be rehearsing this music at the beginning of our rehearsals 7:30-8:30 after which we will rehearse upcoming Sunday worship music. All the music we will be doing for those services will be new to everyone so you don't even have to worry that existing members will already know something you need to learn.

The number of amazing stories that have come out of the Chancel Choir and their participation in the worship of Christ at Central is amazing in itself. This is a chance for you to be part of this at a time that your participation is truly needed.
