Summer Choir

choir Ever want to sing in the choir but have never had the time for Thursday night rehearsals? Looking for something the family can do together - from grade school through parents through grandparents? Think the pews in the sanctuary are too hard? Ever want to be part of the longest running "small group" at Central?

Have we got an opportunity for you!

Again this year, we have a Summer Choir for the traditional service. This Summer Choir will rehearse only on Sunday mornings beginning at 9:15 am to sing for the service. There will be no weeknight rehearsals. Furthermore, the Summer Choir is open to everyone who wants to participate including our kids. The music will be easy enough to put together quickly and will even highlight some of the new music from the new hymnal. There are no auditions necessary. If you need to be gone on any given Sunday, that's OK too; just come when you can.

I have heard the following comments that may help you make your decision:

  • The pews in the choir loft are padded while those in the congregation are not!
  • If you find the sanctuary too cold, the choir loft is better!
  • If you find the sanctuary too hot, the choir loft is better!
  • The best seat in the house is in the choir loft!
  • If you think the sound of the organ is magnificent in the nave, you should hear it from the choir loft!
  • Listening to the preacher from behind is a new and different experience!
  • Choirs bring together families who sing together!
  • If a lot of young single people join the choir, there will be young single people to meet!

Sing to the Lord a new song! Please join us so we can praise the Lord together, thank Him for His many blessings to us, and share His love with each other and the congregation.

The Summer Choir has already begun but it is NOT too late to join us. We will meet in the choir room at 9:15 am to sing for the 10:00 am Service. Join us!
