Voting News FlashPublished in the News & Views: July 6, 2003
The reason for this change is that it is inadvisable to open a congregational meeting unless all present are able to be there the entire time. In this way any vote taken can be done so in light of the entire discussion on a given motion. All active members are encouraged to be present at the called Congregational Meeting which will begin five minutes after the close of the third service (approximately 1:00 pm) on July 13th. As prescribed by the Book of Order of the PCUSA, voting will take place by written ballot at the meeting. Only active members are permitted to vote. Following the meeting refreshments will be served in the Concourse. Those who would like to ask questions not answered by today's written material are invited to meet with members of the PNC in Calvin following each of today's services. See also: | ||||
