Tennessee Mission Trip
Published in the News & Views: June 18, 2004
Saturday July 24 - 31, 2004
The mission trip begins on the edge of the Smoky Mountains in rural Tennessee.
More than the beauty of the mountains, this is an area well known for its
Bluegrass music and artistic handmade crafts. Hit hard by a downfall in the
economy and years of consolidating companies, industry is temporary and jobs
are low paying. Teens will
have a chance to bless this community with their
love and servant hearts by helping put a fresh coat of paint on a home, doing
minor house repairs, partnering with local ministries, and creating a Kids'
Club for the local children. Besides being a unique cultural experience, a
week in rural Tennessee offers an opportunity to be the hands and feet of
Christ to the community and its people.
Please pray for the safety, health, learning, and effective witness of
the Tennessee team.
