CPC 2002 Annual Report:
Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC)A New CommunityDear Central, As we close out 2002 and look to 2003, the Pastor Nominating Community never dreamed we would still be working together. Again, God's leading, grace, patience, and teachings are evident. There is no doubt He is with us. One of His most amazing and appreciated works has been how He has knit the PNC together. We have grown into a mismatched small group who now feels incomplete without each members input. We have truly come to trust and lean on each other. Again, we had no idea how desperately we would need each other. We have become a community. This past year we were honored to meet many exciting, God-fearing ministers. We so valued 7 pastors this year alone that they visited with us here at Central. It's much like courting. At times we felt as though we were on a blind date where minutes turn to hours. Other times we saw promise, but something was missing. A few times we fell in love, but God said "No." Ouch, it hurt! Yet today your Pastoral Nominating Community is trusting in His divine guidance more than ever. We rejoice with aching hearts, for His plan for Central is perfect. God has taken both the PNC and everyone at Central on an exciting but exhausting journey this year. We believe in the end, all will know why and proclaim, "It was worth it." "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain." I Corinthians 15:58 | |||
