CPC 1996 Annual Report:
Beyond These Walls...
Praise and Prayer

PRAISE the Lord...
  • Pledges are being faithfully met. $515,343 has been received to date.
  • In addition, nearly $300,000 has been received from the Hartman bequest.
  • And nearly $25,000 has been received from friends, new members, and members not originally making pledges.
PRAY
for our continued faithfulness to the pledges to expand His ministry at Central.
  • A continuation of the trend on pledges and other gifts makes Phase 2 a real coming attraction.
  • Sustaining the trend could make it possible that Phase 1 would be paid for at the end of the campaign, May 1999.
PRAISE the Lord...
  • For a Christian architect who understands Central, and whose designs reflect Central's scriptural and missions focus.
  • For the time and money saved as the Master Plan design for Phase 1 has been proven good through the process of developing detailed plans.
  • For the privilege of making the initial Beyond These Walls... Missions gifts totalling $34,000 to Sandtown Habitat for Humanity, Genesis Jobs, HCJB, Pioneers - Bible translation, and Navigators - Russia.
PRAY
for patience and wisdom in meeting ministry needs during construction.
  • Ground is expected to be broken in late March, with demolition of the PreSchool Building shortly thereafter.
PRAISE the Lord...
  • For all the workers on the Building Committee, Trustees, Staff, Church Office, and BTW Campaign Follow-up Committee who are making it happen with His help.
PRAY
that the commitment, unity, excitement and focus that developed in the stewardship campaign will grow and strengthen our ministry for Him.

PRAISE the Lord, for he has blessed us greatly.
