MIDDLE SCHOOL MINISTRY

The mission of Student Ministry is to provide a place for students to BELONG; have opportunities to explore what they BELIEVE; and see them BECOME life-long pursuers of Jesus Christ. We do this by offering a variety of groups and activities specifically targeted to this age group.

Below are some of the opportunities for Middle School students (6th-8th grade). In addition we have large group fellowship times, small group gatherings, Bible study, outreach, mission trips, retreats, and other special events.

WHIRLWIND EVENTS

WHIRLWIND meets most Friday nights throughout the school year from 6:30-8pm. It's our large group gathering for M.S. students in the church and surrounding community. The evening is divided into 3 parts. First, during the Gathering Time students check in at the Welcome Center, then hang out with friends, grab something to eat and play games. Next, the Community Life time is where we spend time intentionally building community, through playing games together and sharing about upcoming events happening in our community. We close each evening with Worship and Sharing. This is our large group time with some worship led by our student worship band, and some sharing time led by our Student Ministry director. We share Scripture, stories and insights related to the topic of the evening. Our topics come from the book The 7 Checkpoints by Andy Stanley.

Grow GroupsGROW GROUPS

are small groups that follow WHIRLWIND on Friday nights (8:00-9pm) at the church. Here, M.S. students are invited to be part of a smaller community. These smallgroups are divided by grade and gender and are led by adults and student leaders. In your small group you will have a chance to dive deeper into the evening’s topic from Whirlwind, and explore it further through Scripture and discussion. Grow Groups are also a safe place to share and pray for the tough stuff you’re going through and to celebrate the good stuff that’s happening in your life.

OASIS

On Sunday morning form 9-10:15 am both Middle and High School students are invited to join an Oasis class. Each Fall and Spring we offer a variety of options including Bible study, spiritual disciplines, hands-on service, and more. There is always one option set aside for just M.S. students.
