CARE & SUPPORT
“By this everyone will know you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35, T-NIV) DEACONS
The Deacons are a group of men and women nominated, elected and appointed by Central members. Our main calling is to reach out to people in Central’s congregation who are in challenging circumstances, and offer help in assessing their needs and working together to find solutions. Our purpose is to show God’s love and mercy by trying to help people out of difficult circumstances and to be facilitators of the work God is doing in their lives and through the congregation. We offer a ‘cold up of water’ in the name of Jesus Christ. (Matt. 10:42) How can we help you? Church members and regular attendees can receive help in many ways. Here are a few examples: home communion visits and prayer during a hospital stay or while homebound meals delivered for a limited period of time limited financial assistance prayer, spiritual guidance and accountability transportation assistance networking assistance with other support services and organizations support to those who are reaching out to others in challenging circumstances There are several ways you can get in touch with the Deacons if you need assistance: call the church office (M-F 9am-5pm) 410-823-6145 and let them know you need deacon assistance talk with a deacon on Sunday morning at the Connection Central Desk between services send an e-mail to the diaconate at deacons@centralpc.org

Prayer Ministry
Prayer is a vital part of ministry at Central and happens at many times, in many places. Whether it is through our Sunday Prayer Ministry Teams, home Prayer Altars, prayer meetings or healing prayer, we strive to support the whole of what we do through prayer. In addition we have a Phone Prayer Chain, an E-Prayer Chain, a Prayer Ministry following every worship service and groups that meet at specific times for prayer. Financial Peace University
Financial Peace University (FPU) is being offered at Central Presbyterian Church. FPU teaches congregations and communities to handle God's money God's way. We teach people to live like no one else so later they can live like no one else. The average family reduces their debt by $5,300 and saves $2,700 in 91 days.
You do not need to be a regular attender of Central to attend FPU, but in order for us to have enough materials, it's necessary to sign up in advance. The cost is $110 for the 13 week series, but the results of this exciting program is truly priceless.
For more information, check out FPU Info and pick up a brochure at the Connection Central counter in the church concourse. You can also call Bryan Brunelle, or e-mail: fpu@centralpc.org.
