CARE & SUPPORTCommunion

“By this everyone will know you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35, T-NIV)

DEACONS

The Deacons are a group of men and women nominated, elected and appointed by Central members. Our main calling is to reach out to people in Central’s congregation who are in challenging circumstances, and offer help in assessing their needs and working together to find solutions. Our purpose is to show God’s love and mercy by trying to help people out of difficult circumstances and to be facilitators of the work God is doing in their lives and through the congregation. We offer a ‘cold up of water’ in the name of Jesus Christ. (Matt. 10:42) How can we help you? Church members and regular attendees can receive help in many ways. Here are a few examples: home communion visits and prayer during a hospital stay or while homebound meals delivered for a limited period of time limited financial assistance prayer, spiritual guidance and accountability transportation assistance networking assistance with other support services and organizations support to those who are reaching out to others in challenging circumstances There are several ways you can get in touch with the Deacons if you need assistance: call the church office (M-F 9am-5pm) 410-823-6145 and let them know you need deacon assistance talk with a deacon on Sunday morning at the Connection Central Desk between services send an e-mail to the diaconate at deacons@centralpc.org
