Equipping Ministry connecting with Leadership...
Do as I Say AND as I Do!

Central's leaders are truly leading by example. Last year they commissioned Equipping Ministries to help our members find their niches in relationships and ministry. Since then, our leaders have been discovering that they, too, have much to benefit by following EM's Bible-based principles.

Several times, Equipping Ministries has held training for ministry leaders, laying out the Biblical foundation and elements of EM. Elder Dottie Jones shared her reaction to that presentation:

"I was very impressed and excited about the AiM Ministry model, which was presented by Kara Bolonda and Denise Simms. Personally, I had undergone a spiritual gift assessment years ago, and I believe I have been using those gifts in ministry. However, the idea of assessing HOW my gifts affect my leadership style is a new concept for me to ponder. 'Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord, not for men.' -Colossians 3:23

"Truly, if I am to grow as a leader and please the Lord in my work, I need to identify my strengths and weaknesses, enhance the skills He has given to me, and grow in wisdom and understanding. By doing this, I will be better equipped to help others who work alongside me develop their potential through giftedness as well. Central is certainly blessed to have this great opportunity for growth offered to its family of believers and its leaders!"

The leaders of Central, including Elders, Deacons and other ministry leaders, have set aside the month of October '01 to take an intensive Leadership Spiritual Design Class together. Leaders hope to grow in their individual walks with the Lord, as well as to explore new ways of leading that would support all members seeking to serve according to their spiritual design.

We are blessed to have leaders who
lead by words and deeds!
