Community Kids' Christian Library

kids reading The Community Kids' Christian Library has been open to the local church-community's children (age 2-11) since 1989. Originally the library was located inside St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church where it had grown from 80 books to over 1,000 books and 100 videos. We are excited to announce that the library has moved to Central Presbyterian Church.

The library is available as a resource not only to CPC members and friends, but also to children from the local community.

Come visit, register your child and receive a library card which gives you access to these delightful books and videos. The library is run similar to the public library, including checkout, fines (1 cent a day) and full reimbursement for lost books, allowing children to learn how to use a library and have the responsibility for their books.

Library Hours: 9am to 4pm daily (self-service) for library card holders.

If you would like to be oriented to the library and receive a card, please call Karen Geeting (librarian) to set up an appointment. Your first visit must be made with the Librarian to become oriented to the system in the library.

The CKCL wants you to remember that we can all be missionaries right in our own family rooms. Did you know Christian videos are a great evangelistic tool for reaching your children's friends? (Inform their parents that you are showing a Christian video - most parents won't object.) It opens the door to talk about the Lord and who He is. Our prayers and our actions to one another also speak volumes of God's love. Several books on missionaries' lives and our lives as witnesses are on display in the C.K.C.L.
