Organ Music has always been vital to the life of Central Church. We seek to provide expression for a wide range of musical tastes by encouraging a music ministry of diversity and excellence. We purpose music at Central to bring glory to God and blessing to God's people. We encourage all adults and children of all ages to participate in the many musical opportunities offered at Central. Supporting music making at Central are a three-manual 52-rank, 2,945 pipe Casavant Frères organ built in 1987, and a 1994 Steinway B grand piano.

Music Ministries, Programs and Groups

The Worship Team is a group of vocalists, instrumentalists, media and technical people specializing in leading contemporary praise, worship and scripture songs at the Mosaic Contemporary Worship Services. There they blend contemporary music with the valuable tradition of songs and hymns. They also lead corporate worship at church activities. See Worship Team to learn more.

The Chancel Choir is a group of 35 adult singers who continue the rich choral tradition of Central Church. Singing a wide range of repertoire, they provide musical leadership for the 10:00a Sunday worship. Thursday night rehearsals are known for valuable vocal training, musical skill building, fellowship, and just plain fun. To learn more, see The Chancel Choir or talk to Thomas Brantigan, Director.

The Concert Choir augments Central's music groups with members of the community and presents programs featuring choral works with orchestral accompaniment.

bell choir The Central Handbell Choir is a group of individuals who love to make a joyful noise. They meet weekly to rehearse and they participate with the 10:00a Sunday worship monthly, taking breaks over the summer. Rehearsals are at 7:30-8:30pm in Fellowship Hall. If you are interested in playing with the Bell Choir, please contact Chrissy Hoffner.

The Central Children's Praise Choir is open to all children in grades 2-5 with a heart for singing God's praises. Rehearsals are on Sundays from 11:20-12:20 (during most of the EPIC service) in the choir room. For parents who attend the EPIC service, we have a game time for the children until the end the service, but we ask that you pick up your child from the fellowship hall promptly after the service.
