W.o.W. Women On Wednesdays

WoW is a gathering of women of various generations and stages in life who meet weekly to make new friends and to refresh and encourage each other while praising, worshipping, praying and studying God's Word.

Prayer Partners WoW meets on Wednesdays from 9:30 am - 11:30 am, starting in the Loft.

God has richly blessed this time together and we encourage every woman to pray about joining this special time with Him and with your sisters in Christ. We love to welcome new faces!

Feel free to contact Nancy Baumhaft, Sue Biddison, Debbie Schmidt, or Anne Wityk with any questions. Please come - to be a blessing to your sisters in Christ, and to receive the abundant blessings He has in store for all of us!

  • Treasures of Encouragement
by Sharon Betters -- Leader: Nancy Nasrallah
What is encouragement? Why is it a treasure? And why don't we use this powerful force more? This book is, in the author's words, "a passionate plea for the lavish use of encouragement" and the way "God uses us - His children - to do soul work as we become His promise keepers." We will learn what that means as we learn about Biblical encouragement - its purposes and transforming effects, developing our own "treasury" of encouragement, and the directing force behind encouragement. We will see how God can use ordinary women like us in this extraordinary ministry. The class will include some homework: reading, questions, thinking.
  • Healing Your Family Tree
by Beverly Hubble Tauke -- Leader: Becky Tacelosky
Are there wounds in your family's history that have never been fully healed? Do your family members seem trapped in unhealthy relationship patterns? And do you want something better than this for yourself and your children? In this class, we will explore life-changing principles for family transformation, look at inspiring true stories of families who have overcome hurtful relationship habits and see how by God's grace, we can stop the cycle of dysfunction and move toward the wholeness God intended. The class will include reflective homework assignments, journaling, reading and discussion.
  • The Gospel of Mark
    Leader: Janice McWilliams
What was it like to walk with Jesus during his years of ministry here? The gospel of Mark gives us an eyewitness account from one who was there. Using only the Scriptural text, this class will explore the life of Jesus and how it impacts the way we live. You will also learn ways to study the Bible for yourself as you look at this book together. This is a great opportunity not only to learn about Jesus but to see how what you learn has application in your day to day life.
  • Life Journaling
    Leader: Rhonda Herman
Spend some quiet time together with other women looking into Scripture and hearing from God as you journal together.

Please fill out the registration form to register. All classes will have a fee of less than $15 for the book. Your leader will contact you with details before the semester begins. Free will offering of a suggested $5 per week to cover childcare and other expenses.
