Greetings y'all,

The team is doing well. VBS started today with 65 children. Both church services that we led yesterday went great. I am getting to drive one of the vans through the city - very fun...

Hi Dad, Elizabeth, Mom, Mr. Jay, and Stephen!
I just wanted to let you know that I'm doing well. I'm starting to feel a bit tired, but I got medicine for the infection - the American woman, Debbie, who owns the school we're staying in took me to the pharmacy. Also, they have a piano here, and I was able to play a little on it and then perform Prokofiev this morning at a church service. Also, I'm going to get to share my testimony at a session thing on Tuesday night (I'm excited). Hope you're all doing well.
Love, Elizabeth
Heeeey Momster, Popster, Little Harp, and Big Harp---
Yo. So I'm supposed to pick something to talk about. Hmmm. Well, my hair has been permanently slicked back into bandana mode. And ... I haven't gotten sick or anything yet, which is good. I am pretty sore though from sleeping weird and picking up kids. And then there's this punching game we play that doesn't help either. Heh. It's fun though. Apparently we're eating breakfast now. Oh! We ate this crape-like thing last night, Mom. It was a dessert crape, but it was rolled up instead of flat and they called them pancakes. And apparently I'm teaching Friday (well, not apparently- I AM teaching Friday) about the Holy Spirit or something something something. So, if you want to pray about that ... that'd be nice. ? Thanks. I love you! Tell the cat she's a punk and better not be sleeping on my bed.
Love, julie
Hi Marty and Teri,
We are having a great time. Last night we assisted in a service in the village. We did a skit, sang several songs (including a solo by Dan), Pam gave her testimony, Bill preached. They hold the service outside with speakers so others in the village are attracted to come. Afterwards one of the villagers invited all 23 of us for dinner. WOW, what a sacrificial heart to do all that when they have so little. Can't wait to share more...
Love, Linda
Hey Daddio, Ter (and Jody and Dave even if mom didn't include you!)
We've been having an awesome time. Its been really interesting to learn about the culture and things like that. Saturday we met all the kids and they are all so cute and lots of fun. I am excited about the next week being able to work with them. Yeah... there's a line so that's all for now! I love you both lots!
Love, Lori

Well we're here. Not really much to say besides everythings going well and we're all having an awesome time and I'm pretty sure the kids are too. I can imagine everyone else already said the basics of what we're doing. Ummmm well I'm doing fine, don't worry, having fun and all that stuff, I mean besides the fact that my left arm is no longer attached to my body everythings just fine.
Well love ya guys!! Pam
Daddy, Matti, and Peter-
umm... we're in Romania? This week we're doing a vbs for a bunch of awesome local kids that we met on Saturday. Last night we ate a HUGE meal at a village where we held a church service- like grandma's cooking except weirder? Yeah so Im not feeling so great from that, but it was cool. I hope you had fun at the beach and can't wait to see you guys when I get home.
Much love, Katie
AUS MOM DAD WHATS HAPPENING?
ITS HOT TODAY, PROBABLY ABOUT 130, WITH NO WATER IN THE WHOLE COUNTRY TO DRINK. BUT THAT'S NORMAL, AND WE'RE USED TO IT BY NOW. Just kidding. Its in the 80's. no humidity. We have had good food, and food I didn't want to eat. Uhh... I think I'm gaining weight though, last nite I ate soo much. So we have to do karaoke with Romanian songs, so they can laugh at us. Aus wish you were here man, you would like the people from my church and from Romania, its fun to get them to translate dumb things from English to Romanian. Ok fam.
Love you, jess.
Dear parental units
Today was the first day of vbs. All went well. We have the hottest part of the day off. So we go back to the school we are stay at for lunch and a break. Just 4 and 1/2 more days here then Vienna. Wednesday I will be teaching a lesson for the children and any parents that come. Um ... last night was interesting, you would be so proud of the food that I have been eating, it is very rare that I don't finish everything on my plate. Keep in mind that doesn't mean that I like it all. Make sure you tell grandma that. I think that's all I have to report for now. Give my love to everyone.
I love you. Dani Do Do
Mom, Dad, Becca,
We're STILL in Romania! (Surprise?!?) I have nothing new to add... I am really enjoying the culture, and I fear you may never see me again (that is, if I hide when the plane leaves and stay behind). We eat food and we do VBS and we chill and play hacky sack and sing and stuff. Many people here think we are an "American Choir." See ya when (if) I come home!

Mark, Matt & Peter:
I hope you guys are having fun without the girls in the house. Last night we did a service in a village outside Timisoara. We met outside in an open courtyard - there were about the same number of Romanians as Americans. Afterwards one of the Romanian families had us in their home for dinner - everything was from their garden or yard - including the chicken!! We had a cherry drink pressed from cherries from their own tree. The pastor told us the feast was a tithe of their produce - we felt honored and overwhelmed by their gracious hospitality. Keep praying for our stomachs, though - they are being challenged by a change from our normal diets!! Our first morning of VBS was great - 61 kids - more than on Saturday morning or evening. Katie is really good with kids. Today she sang Jesus loves me in Romanian for a karaoke session against a Romanian girl.
We miss you!! Love, Kathy
Mom & Jer,
Don't have long to type, so I'll be brief (as usual). Yesterday, we went to a church service in the city, then later to one out in a village, followed by a home-cooked meal in the village, which was interesting, to say the least. Today starts our work in a camp for children that will run for this entire week.
Thanks for everything, & I'll see you soon. ~ michael

Hey Mom and Dad.

Hi
I am still breathing! We started VEBS @ iosiph's church today (It will last the rest of the week). We just play with the kids in the morning, but the team has to put together a full service for the evenings. The language barrier isn't as bad as I thought, but it is still a struggle. We attended/ presented @ two services yesterday. I think it was the toughest day so far. We ate at the home of a local villager, their conditions and their amazing hospitality made it emotionally nearly impossible (We won't go there, all I will say is I made it, barely). I am in good health (only one instance of motion sickness, the food @ home base has been great). I miss you all, but so far no homesickness. I love it here, and the team is still getting along well as a whole. We have been really busy, and things like promised postcards etc. haven't happened. Garrett I hope you are having fun at camp & am not to board. I love you. (Still plan on picking me up at the church). Thank you so much for your prayers, they mean more than you can imagine.
Give my love to everyone, Em.
Caitlin, Cody and Mason,
Hey guys! I love you and miss you so much! Take care of mommy for me while I am gone. I'm glad you guys had fun at the beach. I hope you are having fun with the Lucien's and your friends! There are cows and sheep walking around in the road as we are trying to drive - it is very funny. I will try and call you in the next few days.
Love, daddy (Bill)
