2005 Summer Mission Trip to Puerto Rico

June 25 - July 2, 2005

Located in the Caribbean, this island, named the "rich port," Puerto Rico is one of the most densely populated islands in the world. Its music, dance and culture colorfully paint a people full of life. Amidst the lush tropical paradise of this island, there will be opportunity to discover and serve our Puerto Rican brothers and sisters. Hidden among the beauty of this place, people are challenged with poverty related issues such as drug abuse and homelessness.

Youth from Central working with Youth Works will be rendering service in a variety of ways. They will be visiting the elderly, assisting with home repairs and leading kids' clubs in areas that lack youth programs, while deepening their personal relationship with Jesus Christ as they spread God's word through practical love. Please keep them in your prayers.
