Here's the group standing happily in the rain for the final group photo as we're leaving. They don't look too much the worse for wear. |
We spent part of saturday in the main lodge doing some "Initiatives Course" activities under the direction of the camp director and his son. Here are Chris Ritchie and his wife Kathy enjoying it all. |
Here we find out if we can stand up together in pairs. It's harder than it looks. |
This is a variant on a trust fall where the person in the center has to stay stiff and fall. The people in the ring catch him/her and pass or toss them around the ring without (hopefully) dropping them. |
This was our unofficial game later of indoor high jumping. Chris is obviously enjoying it. Not too inhibited about flying. |
So was Andrew... You can come down now Andrew. |
Here are our cooks, without whom we would have spent the weekend eating cold cereal and potato chips. They made sure we were very well fed. P.S. try the ham there, it's delicious P.P.S. They did get to use the stove to cook. They didn't have to use the fireplace. |
An unscheduled pileup for a group photo. (you don't think we schedule these things do you ?) |
Another unscheduled group photo. The ham that got cooked wasn't the only ham in this group. |
Devotions, singing and studying together were also vital parts of the weekend. Our theme for the weekend was "Body Building", based on Colossians 3:12-17. We looked at the qualities that should be characteristic of a youth group that has been redeemed by the love of Jesus Christ. |
