Prayer Needs and Opportunities

Central has a long history of commitment to praying for needs both within and without our church and local community. To understand some of the reasons why we pray, see Prayer: God's chosen vehicle for unleashing his power in the world.

If you have something for which you would like prayer, please contact our Prayer Room Ministry or send email to our Email Prayer Chain. There is also a (non-email) Prayer Chain. You can call the office (410-823-6145) with your prayer requests or to join in prayer for others.

• Prayer for Service Men & Women:
  We have been praying for our service men and women involved in the war in Iraq. Please let us know if the men and women are returning or are in need of more specific prayers by putting a note on the back of the pew card. We especially want to praise God for bringing our men and women home.

• Missionary Directories! Have you ever wondered who Central's missionaries are, what kind of work they are doing, where they do it, and how you could pray for them? If so, then you can pick up a FREE copy of the Missions Prayer Directory at the Welcome Center. It includes a page for each missionary or ministry which Central supports, photos, information, and specific prayer requests for this year. (One per family please.) Operation World books, which have information and prayer requests for countries around the world, are also available for only $5.

Regular Prayer Meetings (weekly and monthly)

At CPC, we believe that consistent prayer is required to power any ministry and to develop and grow in our personal relationships with Jesus Christ. There are several times each week when people of all ages meet to pray together. Please come and join in to pray for God's Church and His world. You don't have to pray out loud, and it's a great place to learn how to pray.

Prayer Room Ministry

Each Sunday after the 11:00a service, a prayer team gathers to lift up specific requests to God. To have your requests added, fill out a pink prayer card found in the pew racks and drop it in the Prayer Room Ministry box in the Narthex. Or you can call the Church Office and leave your message in the Prayer Room Ministry voicemail (box 233) anytime during the week. All requests are held in confidence. All requests will be prayed for after the 11:00a service each Sunday.

After Worship

People are available at the front of the church each Sunday after the 8:15a and 11:00a services to pray with and for you.
