“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts I:8) (T-NIV)

The church was commissioned by Jesus Christ to share the good news of the gospel with all people, whether across the street or around the world. We have developed partnerships with a wide range of ministries, from inner-city African-American churches in Baltimore, to ministries in Malawi, Brazil, or Thailand. We invite every member of our congregation to be involved in God's plan for spreading His gospel to all nations.

We understand that sharing the Good News about Jesus might be new to you and that’s okay too. Prayer and behind the scenes work matters to Jesus and to us. We want people to start wherever they are as God calls them to serve.

Central’s Outreach Ministries include:

  • Investing our lives in the people God has put around us
  • Impacting the world directly through our own compassion and commitment to justice
  • Caring for, supporting and communicating with ministries and missionaries in our neighborhood, our region and our world
  • Advancing the gospel among peoples and countries that haven’t heard the Good News of Jesus Christ
  • Training and sending short term mission teams, locally, nationally and internationally
  • Educating our members about on-going missions and raising awareness about new concerns

Not only do we support and send others to spread the Good News of the Gospel, we also go ourselves. Members’ involvement in Outreach activities ranges from a one-time experience to regular, on-going commitments. It may be a one-day project or a short mission trip. People may focus in one area, or help with several. They participate as individuals, couples, families, a small group, or as partners with another church or organization.

Whether in our neighborhood, our city and region, or around the world, we focus our efforts on three major areas:

  • Impacting children at risk
  • Impacting young adults
  • Evangelizing & developing leaders
