High School Student Ministry’s mission is to create a place where high school students belong, give them time and space to wrestle with what they believe, and witness them become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.
We do this by offering a variety of fun, meaningful activities where students can connect with one another and with spiritually mature adults.
The primary environments for this are Storm on Sunday nights from 6:00-8:30 pm and Sunday morning Bible study from 9:00-10:15 am.
Storm meets most Sunday nights throughout the school year from 6:00-8:30 pm. High school students gather at Central during this time for games, age-appropriate teaching, student-led worship, and small groups.
The first time you come to Storm, you can expect leaders to greet you at the door and point you to where to go next. You might want to bring a friend so you’ll be sure to already know someone, but you’ll quickly meet new people during games and small groups.
Grade- and gender-specific small groups are where you can find that small, close-knit group of friends you’ve been looking to walk alongside throughout high school.
All high school students are welcome at Storm, whether they attend Central on Sundays or have never set foot inside a church. It’s a safe space for asking questions, wrestling with doubts and belief, finding friends, and learning to follow Jesus together.
High School Ministry events throughout the year are unique opportunities for developing friendships among students and leaders. Whether going crazy on a slip-and-slide or serving the community, we create lasting memories during these times together.
