Storm | Sundays 1:00-2:30 PM | Loft

For thousands of years, people have been wrestling with the tendency to separate on the basis of differences, to act on biases and prejudices, to label and discriminate, or to just feel awkward in situations when engaging with someone of another race or ethnicity. Most people would say they’re “good people” or that they “don’t hate anybody,” so that leaves us with the question: why is there racial tension? In this one-week standalone talk, we’re leaning in and asking a new question: what could happen if we all carried a healthy curiosity about each other’s stories and experiences? This unique standalone talk features a collection of stories from people of different races and ethnicities. We believe that when we stop to listen to each other, we begin to recognize the truth that we are made in God’s image, and therefore together, we reflect the image of God.

Week 1 | April 3

Together we reflect the image of God.
