The Jesus Creed @Whirlwind
Friday Nights | 7:00 – 9:30 PM
This Friday at Whirlwind, we will be exploring Matthew 22:37-40 and discuss how we can orient our lives around these words from Jesus. Part of this series is based on the book The Jesus Creed by Scot McKnight

Whirlwind is a great environment for Middle School students to connect with God. Below are some resources for the OTHER 6 days of the week.
Saturday
Recite the Jesus Creed (Matthew 22:37-40) when you wake up in the morning and before you go to bed.
Do this each day this week.
Sunday
Find a quiet place and spend 5 minutes in silence. Pray “God, help me to hear you. Help me to see you.” repeatedly. Spend the day looking for signs of God in your world.
Monday
Practice “loving your neighbor” by serving others today. Do at least three acts of kindness for a neighbor or family member.
Tuesday
Choose 5 people to pray for today. Ask them what you should be praying for them. You can either pray with them or pray for them later. Consider asking someone to pray for you.
Wednesday
Choose one of the passages below and read it through slowly two times. Ask God what He wants you to take away from these verses. Read it one more time and write down the thoughts that come to you.
Psalm 23:1-4, Proverbs 2:1-11, 1 Timothy 4:11-16
Thursday
At the end of the day, ask yourself these questions…
At what moments today did I feel most connected to God?
