Friday, December 4 and 11 | 7:00-8:30 PM

Amid all of the challenges and uncertainties of our current situation, Middle School Ministry hopes to offer students a fun, safe, and meaningful space to gather in-person for an adapted Whirlwind experience.

Whirlwind Gatherings will be an abbreviated version of our usual Fridays nights featuring physically-distanced fun & games, a message, and small Breakout Groups.  In accordance with limits established by Baltimore County, attendance will be capped at 17 students and 8 leaders.  All participants will need to register in advance and will be limited to one Whirlwind Gathering a month to enable participation for all students and leaders.  If space is available on the Thursday before, registration will be open for participant to sign-up for another Whirlwind Gathering.

So that we can create an environment as low risk as possible, we will institute a number of COVID-19 Precautions.  Please read and review the precautions on the website with your student so they will be prepared on Friday.  It is not possible to create an in-person environment with zero-risk.  Participants need to be aware that even with these precautions there is a low-risk of exposure.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Whirlwind Gathering begins at 7 pm.  To minimize exposure and give our team time to prepare, no one should arrive or exit their vehicles prior to 7 pm.

When you arrive for a Whirlwind Gathering, please follow the route below around the back parking lot (yellow line) and pull up to the check-in spot (red check mark).  Students should not yet get out of the vehicle.  A leader will greet you and ask a series of Health & Safety questions.  Then they will take students temperature with a no-contact thermometer.  If everything checks out, the student can exit and head to orientation.

Parents who wish to stay and observe Whirlwind are welcome to park behind the Worship Center (blue p) and observe from the edge of the parking lot.  Please wear a mask and do not enter the field of pavilion so we can keep our numbers down and limit exposure.

At the end of the night, follow the same route.  A leader will greet you at the same check-in spot and call your student over for.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email Matt Acton at macton@centralpc.org
