Help the Assistance Center of Towson Churches (ACTC) bless Towson families this Thanksgiving by donating a bag of non-perishable food items. Our goal this year is to provide 85 bags or more!

GET A BAG – On November 7th from 11:00am-noon, drive by the main entrance at Central to receive your  Activity Bag which will include the ACTC list!  (Or you can find the list on this page and get a bag from the grocery store.)

FILL A BAG  during your normal grocery shopping with the items requested.

PURCHASE A PRE-PACKED BAG  – Visit your local grocery store to see if they have pre-packed bags.

RETURN YOUR BAG between November 18-20 from 10 am-2 pm to the collection bin near the main entrance OR they can be dropped at selected neighborhood drop off sites.

PLEASE DO NOT PUT MONEY OR GIFT CARDS IN BAGS.

Shopping List

Please include ONLY the following items in each bag:

1 can sweet potatoes/yams (20-30 oz.)
2 cans meat/main dish (example: chili, pork and beans (15-24 oz. each)
1 can fruit (20-30 oz.)
4 cans vegetables (example: green beans, peas or corn-15 oz. each)
1 can cranberry sauce
2 boxes macaroni & cheese dinner
1 box instant mashed potatoes (13 -15 oz.)
1 cake or brownie mix
1 bag/box of stuffing mix
1  box/bag of rice (28 – 32 oz.)

TIPS FOR PACKING:
1. Pack large cans on bottom & lighter items on top.
2. Please use a reusable grocery bag /OR a double brown grocery bag inserted in a double plastic bag.

You may volunteer to sort and/or deliver bags at Central from Nov. 18-20. The volunteer schedule will be set up in accordance with the best COVID practices (1 individual/household serving at a time).  If you would like to help in this way, please click the button below.
