The 2025 Central Clothing Free Give-Away is just a month away. Please start collecting now!

Your donations are often a lifeline for our neighbors in need.  You are helping families, men and women interviewing for employment, struggling young people, children in school, teens, seniors, and more.

Please consider donating items in good condition for Central’s 2025 Clothing Giveaway.  It’s a practical, hands-on way to serve real needs in our communities.

Look for a sign-up link to volunteer for sorting and organizing clothes and staffing the day of the event.

You can help with the donation drive in October:

Volunteers are needed in October to begin sorting clothes and organizing the event under the direction of Kim Meagher and Kathleen Nuetzel.

Throughout the month of  October, donations can be dropped off in bins in the Concourse. Volunteers are needed for sorting donations weekly throughout October.  All volunteers are welcome!  If you can help for one day or a few, you are making a difference.

Please help by donating items in clean and good condition for adults, teens, and kids.
We also collect food items for breakfasts and bag lunches.

  • Fall or winter clothes
  • Coats and jackets
  • Shoes and boots
  • Hats, gloves, scarves
  • New socks or underwear
  • Accessories – belts, jewelry, handbags
  • Blankets (not comforters)
  • Suitcases or sturdy bags

You can help during the giveaway event:

About 100 volunteers are needed to assist customers, prepare breakfast, help with check in and check out, as well as serving as greeters, supportive individuals, musicians, security team members, and clean up.

Donations of food or beverages also will be needed for the event.

Last year, more than 300 shoppers attended! All areas of the concourse at Central are organized by size of clothes and shoes for Men, Women, Kids and Infants so that families can shop for the whole family. For families in need of blankets or suitcases, these are available at check out.
