As the worship leader in the Contemporary Service, Mark Domsic, brings together his call to ministry and his musical talent to present God’s love. Mark’s journey to Christian service started with his devout Christian parents. He began college studying jazz trombone, but after a summer as a counselor at a Christian camp, he transferred to the University of Valley Forge, a Bible college in Pennsylvania.
He realized that music ministry brought his gifts and calling together and he worked at churches in Pennsylvania and back home in New Jersey before accepting a position at a large church in the Baltimore area. After serving for 4 ½ years, Mark and his family, wife Nicole and children Cara, 14, and Brandon, 12, felt called to stay in the area, so Mark accepted a role in education sales.
When Mark was approached to lead Central’s Contemporary Service on an interim basis, he agreed. That was four years ago, and Mark said he’s enjoyed it, even with the fast pivots that were made to worship during Covid. He credited the worship team for working together to make sure the services are meaningful.
“Central is a healthy community where people care about each other and the church, I enjoy the opportunity to be creative and present God’s love to people.”
