What an incredible Clothing Giveaway We Had!
Once again, Central poured out generosity to serve the community with our 11th annual clothing giveaway in early November. More than 120 volunteers spent weeks sorting and organizing donated clothes. In the week before the event, the volunteers transformed the worship center, concourse, and other areas with clothing racks and tables organized by age, size, and gender.
When the doors opened, 374 people came streaming in—almost 100 more than last year—to find clothes for themselves and their families. And thanks to the generosity of Central people, there were clothes left over at the end that were donated to another non-profit.
It all comes together under the direction of Kim Meagher and Kathleen Nuetzel, along with the volunteers, multiple ministries and groups, including the men from Philemon Ministries, a group supporting men transitioning back into the community from prison.
Seven businesses donated clothes and food, including The Omelette Man, who once again made omelettes to order as part of the huge spread of food available in the Courtyard.
What a blessing that Central pours out for our community!
