Kim McCaughey began casually attending Central in 1979. In 1981, a friend from work bribed her with a free dinner at a nice restaurant if she would, pretty-please, go with her to the Billy Graham crusade, which, prior to the bribe, had been of no interest to Kim. Kim surprised herself by making the commitment to Jesus at the crusade (even though her friend didn’t) and began her new life as a follower of Christ. As a new believer, Kim became a member of Central in 1983 and has served in several roles through the years from teaching Sunday School, leading Bible Studies, serving at Connection Central, joining the WOW team and a previous term with the Diaconate. Kim looks forward to serving on the diaconate again and didn’t even have to be bribed with dinner to do so. Kim is newly retired and enjoys crafting and swimming.
