Pete Pantzer was born to devoted Christian parents, Pete learned about Jesus from infancy. At the age of five, his faith experience was hijacked by a cult-like community in New England that his parents joined, where he was sent to an intensely religious boarding school. Pete received a great education in the basics of reading, writing, and math–and just as effective an education in fear and hypervigilance and inoculation to the concept of unconditional love. Many years later, Pete’s life is a testament to the slow process of being set free by the love of Jesus. As he continues to experience freedom, Pete feels a passion to share that freedom with others. Pete is the Chief of Staff for the Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs. Married to Amy since 2006, he has four beloved sons: Aiden, Ethan, Lincoln, and Ben. Pete loves to run and to experience solitude in nature.
